04/21/2004: "So here is a basic recap..."

It is going to take a while to get my traffic back up to what it was at my other site. True, it wasnt really high there, but I had 20-30 unique visitors a day. Thats high to me! A good day was 50. ;) So welcome to my little space on the web, a whole 250 MB worth. I am Fellow Eskimo, and if you dont know why you can read the about page.

So, where to begin? University is a good idea, just because it is on my mind. I am currently in the process of picking a university to go to...im not sure which! University of Houston...York University....Louisiana State University *gulps* or something that has yet to be seen. But I am in very good academic standing and I have a choice as to where I go...the only thing limiting? Ah yes, it makes the world go round', money. My parents of course want me to stay at home, go to an instate college..and of course, I dont want to. Typical college bound student thing. Maybe ill take a year off just to make them mad. ;)

I could go back to Scotland...but its just as expensive there. Even moreso though. And I found out today that harvard offers *no* merit based scholarships, well, that option is out ;) *coughlikeIcouldevergoanywaycough* Stanford university is a wonderful option, great program for what I want to do (international studies/languages[german]), unfotunally, the 30,000 dollar price tag (thats just tuition people) scares me right out of the door. And my favorite university (but I can afford) is the American University in Washington D.C. That is my ideal place to go to university, however, tuition for that place seems impossible.

My most likely place of higher education is to be the University of Houston. It looks good, priced right, and has the program I want. AND its out of state. It sounds pretty dang good. The only bad thing I have heard about it is that it has alot of mexicans...but thats not a huge problem for me. There are 35,000 enrolled students. Thats a *ton*, but its livable as long as I get residence. Sounds good, no?

And my recent surge in ACT scores has helped my confidence tremendiously. Although, no my spelling which still leave something to be desired. And this has been one long entry for me!
