11/24/2004: "Thanksgiving and linkies"

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the states. Keep in mind, despite the domain name, I am not actually an eskimo or canadian. So without further delay: a thanksgiving story. Well, more like a few lines.

A few years ago, like...6 or 7 ago, my mother was making the turkey as she usually did. We lived in a typical surburan neighbourhood. Well, after she made this 15 pound turkey, she set it outside to cool. The house was very warm from everything else so she wanted cool air to cool it. Well, we have two german shepards, but we had a pouch high off the ground, so she set it on that so the dogs couldnt get it, and they didnt. But well, after about an hour my mother walked outside to check on the turkey and she saw the turkey...with a butt and a tail sticking out of it. The neighbours cat had gotten to our turkey, and was stuck inside of it. No joke, really happened. My mother was furious. We got the cat out, gave it back to our neighbours and didnt have turkey that year.

That wont be happening this year, my mother learned never to set the turkey outside. If a siamese cat can get past two german shepards and jump about 10 feet to get onto a porch...dont leave the turkey outside.

In other news, here are some intresting links:

Kids Visit Margaritaville: Teachers and other faculty had a mexican themed party in afterschool hours, inclusing Margaritas. The school ran out of milk and decided to pull out some limeade for the students. 4th, 5th and 6th graders got cups of margaritas with tequila, I probably would of finished the cup. ;)

My Moral Values: Intresting site. I had to post on there. Basically my post said that my moral values were literaly that, mine. I cant put them on the American people, and nor should the US government.

Math Whiz Sets Record for Mental Calculation: Square root of a 100 digit number is 11.80 seconds.

Alright, thats all folks. I think the next post will be "Random Quotes: School edition."

You know, I bet those German Shepherds probably stuffed the cat inside the turkey as a prank. ;)

That or maybe they were making the doggie version of a turducken?

The real question is: why did that never happen at my school!?
